Yunnan Qunxing Chemical Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of Yunnan Fusheng Zinc Investment Co., Ltd., a resource-based, privately-owned, high-tech chemical enterprise. Located in the Yangjie New Industrial Park, Nan Zhuang Town, Jianshui County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the company occupies 127 mu (approximately 8.47 hectares) of land. The company's factory area boasts a superior environment and excellent geographical location. Leveraging local high-quality manganese ore resources, the company's main business is the production and sales of potassium permanganate and new materials. Through process optimization and technological innovation, the company has achieved capacity upgrades, currently boasting an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of potassium permanganate. It has become a nationally leading, energy-efficient, and environmentally-friendly new chemical enterprise, ranking second in the country in terms of production scale. The company's total assets exceed 300 million yuan, with an annual revenue exceeding 160 million yuan. Its "Chaoyanglou" brand potassium permanganate has passed UL certification from the United States and ISO quality management system certification, and has been recognized as a "Yunnan Famous Brand" and a "Yunnan Famous Trademark" enterprise.
Yunnan Qunxing Chemical Co., Ltd. was formerly known as Jianshui County Chemical Factory, originally located at No. 295, Fuan Road, Linan Town, Jianshui County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, covering an area of 252.5 mu (approximately 16.83 hectares). Established in March 1970, it was initially named Jianshui County Calcium Phosphate Factory. In 1980, it was renamed Jianshui County Chemical Factory. Utilizing the abundant local manganese ore resources, it began producing potassium permanganate, and subsequently produced manganese powder, zinc sulfate heptahydrate, and activated zinc oxide. From 1981 to 1990, production steadily increased and the scale expanded. The production capacity and output value of its main products, potassium permanganate and manganese powder, saw a significant improvement in both quality and quantity, making it a leading export-oriented enterprise in Jianshui County. In September 1990, Jianshui County Chemical Factory was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit for Chemical Industry Development and Export" by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Chemical Industry. To enhance market competitiveness and achieve product diversification, a new electrolytic manganese dioxide project was established in 1992 and officially put into production in 1993. With the company's development and needs, and after obtaining approval from the superior authorities, Jianshui County Chemical Factory was established in July 1993. In 1995 and 1997, it merged with Jianshui County Integrated Animal Husbandry Farm and Jianshui County Nonferrous Metal Mining and Metallurgy Factory respectively. In 1997, it was granted self-operated import and export rights by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, and joined the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association in December of the same year. Its main product, potassium permanganate, was twice awarded the title of "High-Quality Product" by the Ministry of Chemical Industry. Its product output ranked first in the industry nationwide, with high quality and reputation, making it popular both domestically and internationally, and exported to more than 20 countries and regions including the United States, Japan, Europe, the Middle East, and Hong Kong.
In June 2001, a Sino-US joint venture was established through joint investment from U.S. Qunxing Chemical Co., Ltd., Beijing Zhonghui Yuantong Investment Consulting Center, and Yunnan Jianshui County Chemical Factory, marking the official establishment of Yunnan Qunxing Chemical Co., Ltd. In January 2006, Taiwanese businessman Gu Zhufeng acquired 52% of the shares held by the American side, and Yunnan Fusheng Resource Development Co., Ltd. acquired 8% of the shares held by Beijing Zhonghui Yuantong Investment Consulting Center. In September 2006, Yunnan Fusheng Resource Development Co., Ltd. acquired 40% of the shares held by Yunnan Jianshui County Chemical Factory, resulting in an actual shareholding of 48%.
In 2017, in accordance with relevant documents issued by the central government and the provincial Party committee on the relocation and transformation of dangerous chemical production enterprises in densely populated urban areas, the company launched its relocation project in 2018. In April 2019, the construction of the company's 20,000-ton annual potassium permanganate production line commenced. In October of the same year, the old factory was shut down, and Yunnan Qunxing Chemical Co., Ltd. relocated from Chenguang Village, Linan Town, Jianshui County to the Yangjie Industrial Park, Nan Zhuang Town.
In June 2020, Yunnan Qunxing Chemical Co., Ltd.'s shareholder, Gu Zhufeng, transferred 52% of his company shares to other shareholders. As of December 2023, the company's registered capital is 200 million RMB. The company's business nature is a privately-owned limited liability company.
